We are very lucky to have a student and teacher mentoring scheme for our sixth-year students. The scheme has been in existence for several years and has proved hugely successful. The scheme involves teachers volunteering to mentor a number of sixth year students. The student and teacher meet on four to five occasions during the year. At the meetings the students’ progress is discussed, goals and targets are set for exams as well as post Leaving Cert planning. It is a great opportunity for students to discuss any issues and worries they have with their mentor.
