The Athena Tracker is an academic tracking tool that creates a student’s baseline potential in each subject in each exam. A student’s potential is established using the entrance exam results and all available end of term assessments. As further data is uploaded to the tracker, this will continue to update a student’s predicted grade and potential.
Potential is different for each student and each student’s path through school is different. The goal of academic tracking in Blackwater Community School is to help students to understand and achieve their own unique potential.
The Athena Tracker enables subject teachers to be aware of where a student is in relation to their baseline potential in each subject and to identify those students who may need additional support based on the Continuum of Support model.
