Members of the Green Schools Committee took part in Lismore Tidy Town’s Dispersed Orchards Project this week. Ten Fruit Bushes/trees were plant on the school grounds. The Dispersed orchards are pockets of fruit trees located around a local area. The fruit trees are used to create wildlife corridors to help join up areas for bees, pollinating insects and birds.
BCS is an amalgamation of Lismore CBS, Presentation Convent Lismore and St Anne’s Secondary School, Cappoquin. It was opened in September 2003 with a student population of 400 students. Since then, there has been significant extension of the school buildings and facilities to cater for our increased enrolment. There are currently 951 students in BCS and our new, state of the art, education campus will be completed for the 2024/2025 school year.
