It was a very special morning at BCS with parents, teachers, SNA’s and students coming together with members of Autism Support Dungarvan and Autism Friendly Waterford to learn about Autism. Experiences were shared, tours were given and it was great to learn more about the challenges, strengths and perspectives of the Autism Community and their families. Big thank you to our guest speaker Faith Tutty who brought along our old friends Tony and Sean O’ Neill. Today was a big part of our Autism Awareness Week which so far included a lego stem session and a ‘Dim the Lights’ hour. Thursday is ‘Wear Blue Day’ and our Autistic Author of the month is Elle McNicoll. Happy Autism Awareness Week to everyone!
